I have been looking for a sight like this dedicated to yamaha die hards, lets face it we are usually the underdogs when it comes to popularity out in the white playground. One thing that I would like to see is a sight strictly for mods, projects, and setups on sleds pics and info on these projects and if the owners where happy with results or recomendations. Keep up the good work!

Awesome Site, Own a 2000 SRX 700 with many mods. Made the switch after riding one last year. Have owned 6 new Ski-Doos in last 4 years, and it was a no brainer after riding one. Bought it brand new this year, left over from last year when a dude backed out on all the mods he had done, bummer for him, bonus for me, just ask my grass draggin' buddies.

Great site, I regularly check the message board for tips on increasing the performance of my 97 600 XTC. This is my first sled and have been a little disappointed to hear that it's a "pooch" in stock form (compared to the SkiDoo Olympic I rode in the late 60's as a kid this thing is incredible). I'm usually very brand loyal once I find something I like so will probably always ride BLUE from here on out. Gotta love that suspension.

Nice, very nice site!! Just wanted to let you know that the old V-max 4 could spice up some of you're SRX-600's... I'm no fool, just love that extra top end. Try some of the helix components. And the 8-bu's are quite an eye opener when you steak by them on top end. If someone figers out something with a thousand foot set-up please let me know... I own a 99 SRX 600!!!

this is a very professional looking website, and easy to use. I have used many of the tips in the message board and clutch from North Country Yamaha. It's the first place I turn to when I need a question answered. This website should be honored by Yamaha for helping thousands of owners to enjoy there sleds more. Excellent job Mr sled. Rk, Turk . A note to Turk, I've never seen anyone offer so much helpful, knowledgeable advice to so many Yamaha Owners and never get a dime for it . This guy should really be honored by Yamaha!

Great site! Lets use this site to exchange the info needed to leave the other brands behind.

Want some extra top speed? Replace the original inner 14 degree sheave of the primary clutch with a 12,5 degree sheave. This will lift the driven belt all the way up in the primary clutch allowing the clutch to move to a higher gearing, thus increasing the top speed. Also shim up the secoundary clutch with 1.5-2.0 millimeter shims. This will allow the driven belt to go deeper into the secoundary clutch resulting in even higher gearing and higher top end speed. Expect 6-8 mph. increase in top speed on a stock SX700R, and even more on a tweaked one.

This trick applies to all newer Yamaha models with 14 degree inner primary clutch sheaves. Increase in top speed will vary from on model to another. On the Phazer we observed a 11-12 mph. increase in top speed.

Keep up the good work. GO BLUE GO

New user of the site and it looks greeat! How long do you post the Message board? Maybe you can tell from the name but I'm a western rider from B.C. Snow conditions are approx 50% of normal but still the riding is alright if you know where to go. Gotta be carefull this year all you "backcountry users" as avalanche conditions are extreme in most areas. Two Yamy riders were lost last weekend in Northern B.C. Godspeed.

Just picked up a 2001 SRX and snowchecked a 2002 Viper, so I guess I'll be moving from the Polaris page over to here. Haven't owned Yamaha snowmobile since the 1995 Phazer II LE, but the kid and I ride a Warrior and Blaster during the summer, so we decided to stick with the brand when the snow flies. I wasn't about to give up a triple-triple, and I luv those electronic power valves.

HI I have a 1987 Yamaha Exciter 570 L/C. I just bought it last year as a sort of a project sled. First i got it bored out .60 then i got a 2 stage DG pipe for it and then a Yamaha racing clutch with interchangable springs. Theres alot of my friends who are willing to race there newer Arctic Cat ZR600 agenst me for money. They keep bugging me about it, and i dont really know for a fact how it would do. Since ive never seen one run. Mines been clocked in at around 130 to 135 mph

Great website! Every yama-head should know about this! I heard about it through a friend, and I have learned a lot by other people's mistakes and findings. I share my info, and everyone benefits from it also. There are great tech tips on many things here, and I'm afraid if I don't check in often, I'll miss something. GO TEAM BLUE!

Great Page. I can tell you that I was a loyal skidoo fan untill this year. I saw the 2002 viper and new that was the sled for me. After ridding it for the first time I knew the skidoo era was over and I was tradding in my yellow for blue. I am in the process of making a deal on 2 95 vmax 4's that I plan to turn into race sleds. Thanks forthe great site and keep kickin ass on the trails!!!

I want to make you aware of two problems I've had with my viper first is that my ski adjustment was off 2" the right ski was out 1 1/2 off your spec set at set up 2nd I've have 296 miles on it as of now and the same ski as no carbide left on it the right looks like new. The 296 mile where in good condition trials so the dealer say if the carbide broke they would cover it, well you tell me how I'm going to tell if it broke off when you can't tell at all where it was. So if you would please advise my on what and where this could be handle.
