Ohlins Rear Clicker MPI Tunnel Extension (Warrior Update kit) Tracks USA Rail Extensions 136" Camoplast Ripsaw Ohlins: Expensive, Very stiff setup for aggresive riding. Can be extremely harsh - recommend softer spring calibration from Pionneer Performance. Tunnel kit: Very good quality, complete instructions, killer decal. Rail Ext. Excellent quality, extends hifax, press-fit, strong, no instructions - requires a little modification with a file. Excellent upgrade for hole-shot, top-end stability, ride quality, and flat-land deep snow flotation, as well as improving the overall look of the RX-1 and added leverage for lifting the rear of the sled. Add an Ohlins rear clicker (get a softer spring setup from Pioneer Performance) and you have nearly all the benefits of the Warrior (excl. gearing/clutching) Highly recommend re-inforcing W-arm.

Not as hot a clutch set-up as heel clicker, but was a significant improvement over stock.

From a performance standpoint, installing Bender triples with their associated jetting and clutching changes makes a rather astonishing difference in performance. The sled still has a very useable power band and I don't perceive and flat spots. I also added Boysen reeds and a 1.25 inch Camoplast. As part of the pipe installation, I did all the other things Bender recommends including the rear heat exchanger and Opticool head gasket. From an installation standpoint, the pipes are kind of a bugger. It's a two person job, and I think the most valuable tool for the installation is a rubber mallet. When I bought the pipes, the included some teflon tape to protect some of the wiring and exhaust valve cabling. It doesn't work. Even though we routed the cables correctly, they are close enought to the pipes that I had two of them burn through and had to be replaced. I solved that issue by getting some rather expensive foil covered insulating tape and slapping on large quantities on various components under the hood. So far so good. Thepipes require a hood hinge modification, and that works fine ...really isn't noticeable. One issue was jetting. Every time I ever called Bender for jetting and/or clutching altitude recommendations, they told me that they hadn't completed altitude testing and couldn't help me. Fortunately, they referred me to Mountain Performance who were extremely helpful and provided me with everything I needed. Great people. All-in-all, those Bender pipes really provide an amazing bolt-on power increase. But installation is a little difficult, and I think there are some engineering aspects that are a little on the rough side. H McCollister

I am so happy with my sled i dont think i could ever go back to a 2 Stroke. My next thing to get is the QC-1 or the GP-1 exhaust. I deal with Matt at the speed shop. He has been so helpful. A pleasure to deal with. www.thespeedshop1.com. You wont be disappointed.C-YA

my sled has a 786 big bore that i picked up at crazy mountain performance. I also put triple PSI pipes with k&n air filters. Also has a boondocker nitrous system with custom LED lights under the sled just for the cool look. Sled is extremely fast and dosent like the nitrous to well i used it 3 times and siezed the motor but i just rebuilt it. The speedo says 157 but i dont know what the radar speed is yet. Thats on hard pack.

Installed the ECP air filter kit with prefilters. What a difference! Just love it and also installed a shutoff valve (ball check) in the coolant line to carbs. Keeps the fuel cool in the carbs. Had to jet up to 55's and also added the Yamaha aftermarket heat exchanger and simmons skis. Adjusted the skid and like the way it handles now at least for me. Can pull the front off the snow at 40mph now. Still too heavy but will ride it this way. No problems with any part of the sled. Would recommend the ECP (Eastern Cycle Performance) air filter setup to any 4 banger owner.

Hey Guys! So Far the Flexi skis are fine with the exception of the rattling caused by the slip joint of the grab loop. They do float better than stock skis but not better than wider skis. I have experienced some mild darting but have not tuned the skid frame yet so less/more weight on the skis may have an affect. I also have Ohlins shocks, just on the front, because of the new shock in the back with all the adjustment range. As far as the Ohlins are concerned, good or bad, they just look so damn nice on this sled. I'm waiting till '05 when 9" aluminum wheels will be on the market, for the skid frame mods. My big question is: Has anyone installed the Dimond Drive yet, and if so .... spill the beans please.

The bender triple pipes are awesome. The extra horsepower on the viper really makes it fly.....Dont go by what people might think....I know.... this baby flies!!! The heel clicker clutch kit works great if you have a dealer set it up. I added a set of mega power heads that seem to add better compression and more get up and go. Stock vipers will give those stock 800's a run for their money and 9 times out of 10 beat them. Bender also makes great parts for the rx-1 to make it run more perfect than it already does!!! Keep up the good work at yamaha and all the aftermarket performance manufactures that make those yamahas run even better.

the aaen srx triple pipes rock from low to mid range, gave me 4 mph on top. Also makes handling easier with 23 less lbs and sounds wicked. V force reeds make throttle response crisp. Bender steering pivot makes steering easier. Hauck boost bottle really pulls through midrange and adds probably 1 mph on top. Sled takes stock or slightly modified srx 700 any day.

Bender offers the best pipes with the best fit.The kit is well balanced. Besides bolting on an extra 35hp. I spent a few hours setting up the rear suspension. To make sure that weight transfer would be corret for the 35hp up grade.Nothing worst then not being able hook up. I might found that a adjustable- ramp helix might be the way to go. Offered by shockwave its adjustable from 43 degrees to 53 degrees. Still waiting for reports on it first. Clutching, gearing and suspension setup is now the key.

I purchased the QC-1 exhaust system from Whiteknuckle Performanc last year and have a little over 500 miles of riding with it on my sled. This exhaust system has a great sound and shaves 11 lbs off the total weight. Arne is a great person to do business with and treats his customers verry well. He gave me suggestions for jetting changes for the exhaust for the elevetion I ride at. I would recomend doing business with this company and wouldn't hesitate to purchase another exhaust system from them again.

Hauck clutch kits work great! Goes right to 10,200 RPM and will destroy a stock RX1. K&N kit not only sounds awesome but runs extremely crsp.

The pipes sound really good and not too loud. I have not been able to ride the sled though. Can anyone help me with a problem? I had to eliminate the battery because the silencer is where the battery mounted. Now, the digital readout and the tach is not working. Can anyone tell me what is wrong?

The exaust system is excellent i fell alot of power with the triple pipes, but i can't figure out what jetting sizes to run, once it gets warm it runs good from 0to180 but as soon as i let the gas of and hit about 140km and then punch the gas back down it kind of boggs and doesn't go faster it stays the same. Off the topic my belt squeels badly and i can't figure out what to do i lined the clutches up exactly (well i think) and it still squeels i feel like burning the snowmobile i have put $2000 under the hood this winter and this is all i have let to do , PLEASE HELP thanxs any answers will be appreciated.

Ohlins factory team shocks, way to stiff but never fade. HI-TECH secondary works well, very adjustable. 1 1/4 camo being replaced by 1 1/2 camo for this season. Reed spacers, RAD valves, and thin head gasket. Some primary problems, but other wise great sled.

I love my Vipe but I need the speed.I have heard some good options are T-pipes from speed wurx or jaws performance.156 horse claimed from speedwurx on a stock sled.Any knowledge is appreciated.Keep in mind I don't want the noise and speedwurx claims they are quiet. What ever they're quiet is.Thanks and keep in mind I ride in plenty of snow up here in Northern Ontario so i don't believe over heating will be a concern.I don't want a mod rod.

I put a lightweight hood on my sled (homemade) for mtn riding and I was amazed at how much better it would sidehill. I figure the reduced mass on top of the sled was the reason. So if you are condisering one I say it is worth it.
