put sled away for the summer. went to start it and no go. fuel pump wont come on and have got an engine code 43 which is low voltage to ecu. battery is charged slud turns over strong but no start. fuel pump relay clicks but no power out for the pump. has anyone had the same problem.

First Yamaha, first fourstroke really like how hands off the sled is and the smooth power from bottom to the top end. Did have a little darting but installed the woodys duallys and fixed that. The only other issue that I felt that I had was I needed to replace the hyfax ever 800 miles. I do a fair amount of trail riding in mixed conditions so not sure if it was just conditons on not, tryed to make the extra effort to dip in the snow which I never gave a thought to on my other sleds. I add the scratchers and low snow wheel kits to see if it heips but done it at the end of season so I will have to see if it makes a differnce this year. All in all I am extremely happy with my apex xtx and it will be hard to get me to look at another brand sled. I usally ride between 2500-3500 miles a season,

Love the sled. Power steering is FANTASTIC. I will never own a sled that does not have power steering again. You can ride all day and never get tired. Rode 261 miles in 1 day and was not tired, just ran out of time and had to stop for the night.

The front ball joints went out while riding my five year old grandson the bump steer nearly pitched us off. There was service bulletin which I was unaware. I paid next day ups to have for weekend. I have never had a ball joint fail in over 40 years of riding. I enjoyed the sled and felt I could set it up for my riding style,which is why I am posting,I cannot find out if the straps can be put in different holes or any set up procedures that an owner can follow in regards to rear suspension. Bought this sled new, best sled Ive ever owned. 12320 miles and still counting, original clutches bushings and everything. I finally had to replace my first wheel bearing this year. Sure it doesnt ride like the newest sleds, but rebuild the shocks and its really pretty good. 17 mpg on great trails and gps 117 mph on the lake, I have nothing to complain about, just keep those shocks charged.

this is not a good handling sled great motor but it does no good when you cant turn sharp at all. great suspension too but very tippy Ive rolled this sled 5 times in 500 miles that sucks. This sled is great for the long haul. Did a trip last winter of 1,300 miles lost a drive bearing but it was a warranty issue. Might put a taller windshield on this year depending on the temps. All in all I really like the sled and hope to put on another 4,000 miles this year.

First four stroke after riding two strokes for more than 30 years ,have rode mostly SKI DOO and have been great sleds,but my APEX IS IN A CLASS all its own period. Engine perforance is so smooth and strong its like nothing I have rode in the past.No flat spots no lag just BALLS.Handling is very good although needs a better ski set up or just better ones altogether, Very happy with it in all, would buy another one in a heartbeat. Very good on gas too, for that size engine. You did very good YAMAHA.

The skid design needs work. It generates a lot of friction and heat, impossible to keep snow in the skid area in hard pack conditions. This thing eats hyfax. Hard pack also causes the over temp light to come on. The rear heat exchanger should not be an option, this is a factory design defect. A snowmobile should not overheat in sub freezing conditions. This one does unless there is a lot of loose snow to get thrown on the heat exchangers under the running boards. Fix these things and it is the best sled ever. The engine is best in class

I have an m10 suspension and high performance clutch and exhaust can. Sled runs great, keeps up or beats eight hundreds and one thousands up to eighty mph. The handeling is not what the new technology is not close. Overall a great sled for its year.

burning sliders just seems to be a way of life with yamahas both our nitro and phazar have gone through sliders in under a thousand clicks while our buddies with skidoos have now run between 5 to 7000 on the same set,we run some road and hard pack. waiting for a fan kit for phazar to end its overheating we hope otherwise it is not a usable sled just plain overheats in all conditions same as the old viper not enough cooling without a kit to cure poor engineering by yamaha

Got two rides in on my new 2009 Nytro RTX SE and that was all I needed. Came off a 2003 Rev 800 and im happy with my new decision to go ith yamaha. I am convinced that yamaha is well on its way to developing some of the best snowmobiles in the world. The 09 SE is an amazing machine. The Fox Float X are incredible shocks for a factory sled. Walker Evans are the only comparable standard package on the market. The tipped tunnel on the SE is way better than the RTX or base nytro tunnels. Love the paint scheme and white handguards. Weight is barely an issue until you dance in the powder or ride on very hard pack. Yamaha skis are good. Wind protection is the only concern, but if your on an SE, wind protection is the least of your worries, its all about performance baby.

To this date i have done every single suspension wheels,replaced all exhaust donuts at exhaust manifold,replaced 1 header pipe did not get any break from dealer from 1st year of riding that was when i had exhaust problems. Tunnel rail protectors were loose because of loose rivets this made an annoying vibrating sound at idle. Replaced Main suspension Bracket that bolts onto front of tunnel 500.00 for bracket. Overall sled is nice to drive but still very expensive to maintain especially when dealer will not help.

One couldnt find two 4 stroke sleds that could be more different. RS Venture Yamaha RS Venture 4 stroke engine, plush two seater Very quite, exceedingly comfortable, a long trip cruiser Try to imagine driving a couch... now youre getting closer No smell None of the expected 4 stroke engine lurching. Very smooth. Phazer GT Yamaha Phazer GT 4 stroke engine, single narrow seat A very different kind of snowmobile as far as feel You ride high and far forward. Narrow seat like a dirt bike. Can operate sitting or standing with equal enjoyment. A first for us. Light nimble, responsive and easy to drive None of the expected 4 stroke engine lurching. No smell. On test drive day, neither Dean nor Dad wanted to give up the Phazer. It became the instant favorite. A quiet, mellow engine purr that does not sound at all like a raspy snowmobile. No more brap sound which helps to keep the trails open. Looks like an huge insect which the kids love... takes getting used to for the rest of us... then grows on you. The most fun snowmobile that either of us has ever driven, hands down. The fun o meter was pinned.

I have never been so disappointed with a snowmobile before. I have owned ten new sleds over the years, and this is the worst one. This is not my first Yamaha, but it is my first four stroke. Since Yamaha does not make two strokes anymore, I will not be buying another Yamaha. Yamaha only covered defective exhaust parts. I bought this sled used with 1800 miles after reading the reviews on it. I understand now 1st hand. It is an awesome sled, great power, I mean pull you off the sled rush .Hard to beleive anyone would need more power than what this offers. Handles very well and is very comfortable. What really surprised me is the gas mileage. I filled up with 93 octane which is what it recommends and drove it 65 miles without it leaving the f in full after calculating Im getting 12.5 MPG. This is on slushy trail conditions. This means I could go 142.8 miles on a tank. Pretty nice considering this is a 3 cylinder high performace sled. I will also admit i do need a new belt for it as it was taching up a bit. If there is any such thing as the Perfect snowmobile I believe Yamaha has already created it... Its Name....SRX

The engine is second to none. I have never had a problem. I would like to compare the 2006 with that of 2007 and 2008 models considering the rear suspension change from the monoshock. I have not installed any modifications to the snowmobile nor do I plan to. My only complaint about the clutching is that it is difficult to travel at idle speed. The acceleration is quicker than the 800 Rev HOs I travel with. Cornering is good, but I agree it pushes a little in the corners when riding aggressive. All in all - a great sled and I will buy another. The engine performance trumps any other minor issues with handling or comfort.

This my first Yammi, so it has taken some time to attain proper set up . I am very satisfied with it after going thru the proper set up routine. Remember, only change one thing at a time until you achieeve desired results. Takes time but the reward is worth it. MPG seem to vary quite a bit with speed and air temp. Understandable

. i got this sled last year. never broken down. runs excellent. started on third pull after storing over summer. very reliable. very good sled. looks good. fast. i got it up to 90 on pure ice with lots of throttle to be pushed down. only problem is its bouncy. its OK on bumps. idk if its just me cause i only weigh 100 lbs. great sled. i dont think id ever buy anything but a yamaha sled.

I enjoy my Venture Lite, but I have a couple of concerns. 1. The radiator needs a protective screen to save problems with it being punctured by small trees or brush. 2. I am having problems with ice build up in the tunnel due to the muffler and the short tailpipe that does not extend out of the tunnel.

I love my sx but it seems to dart in and out of other grooves on the trail. If the snow is hard packed and frozen, the skis grip so well that I am always weaving left and right on the trail. This happens during steady speed, letting off the throttle, braking and less noticable during acceleration. Any thoughts The sled is stock as far as I know. Appreciate any advice.

Is anyone having problems with the front clip of the Nytro flexing and bending, I have noticed that on all the welds the paint has cracked and rusted indicating flexing, Then yesterday my 12 yr old daughter rode it around the yard, came up out of the ditch at no faster then 5 mph and it fell on its side and the front clip is now bent a full inch, Any other sled you would have just picked it up and rode on, I liked the sled but paid way too much for what i got

Great machine brought it over to get serviced ended up putting connecting rod through crankcase due two mechanic leaving o ring from old oil filter on and installing new oil filter with new o ring lost oil pressure and kabang . when that old light comes on hit the kill switch right away if you miss it your screwed let me let ya first hand

Bought from cousin 3 years ago. History of fouling spark plugs constantly. Fixed it 2 nites ago by unplugging the two wires going to some switch on right side of carb, which dealer could not explain what it did, and then plugging the wires coming from console together. took the switch out of circuit. Spark will now jump 4-5 inches, and plugs now burn clean and light brown without fouling. Awesome... Could do this in 5 seconds now
